<p>The Health and Medical Geography Specialty Group (HMGSG) of the American Association of Geographers is offering up to two travel awards for the International Medical Geography Symposium (IMGS) Meeting, July 14th - 19th, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia.
This award provides financial support for graduate and undergraduate students who plan to present on a health/medical geography topic at the conference. To be considered for the award, please complete the <a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd4Cuoov4SLS0qQ9WeUiiLHWvwcZyhE0Pvi1AQ5vse_7HMshQ/viewform">following form</a> <strong>no later than April 15th, 2024.</strong>

The number and amount of the awards will be determined by the number of submissions and the amount of travel costs not covered by the home institution. The HMGSG board will determine the winner(s) based on the quality of the abstract, financial need, and record of past scholarship. We intend to notify awardees by May 15th, 2024. <p>This award provides financial support for Researchers in LMICs who plan to present on a health/wellbeing/place-related topic at IMGS 2024. To be considered for the award, please contact Chetan Tiwari (ctiwari@imgs2024.org) or Matthew Smaldon (m.smaldon@elsevier.com) for information on the submission process. Submissions must be received no later than April 15th, 2024. In your application, please include information on:

<li>Title of presentation</li>
<li>Abstract</li>
<li>Statement of need</li>
<li>Proof of Registration</li>
<li>Estimated travel costs</li>
<li>Other funding support received or applied for</li>
</ul>

A selection committee will determine the winner(s) based on the quality of the submission, financial need, and demonstrated commitment to this field of research.
